Helical Piers

Permanently stabilize your home with our advanced Helical Pier system. Designed to screw into stable soil layers, these piers offer superior load-bearing capacity to stop settlement in its tracks and secure your foundation against future movement.

Helical piers are ideal for homes showing settlement signs like wall cracks, sticking doors, or uneven floors—especially when soil near the foundation can’t reliably support the load. Pricing depends on the number of piers needed, how deep we must reach to hit stable bearing strata, and access to the footing (interior vs. exterior installation). During your free inspection, we’ll confirm whether helical piers are the right solution and provide a clear, written estimate with the scope of work and next steps.

How Helical Piers Repair Your Foundation

To fix a failing foundation, one must address the problem soil first to help prevent future settling. Helical piers are drilled deep down into load-bearing soils to support your foundation’s weight and provide permanent stability. Once they are drilled down, they are connected to footings for extra support, and then they are connected to your foundation with steel brackets to hold it into place.

In many cases, helical piers can also be used to help re-level settled areas by transferring the load to stable soil and reducing ongoing movement. Our team determines the correct pier spacing and depth based on your foundation type and the severity of settlement. Once installed, we’ll walk you through what was done, what to expect after the repair, and how to protect your investment long-term.

Benefits of Our Helical Piers:

  • Provides permanent stability to your foundation
  • Can be installed year-round
  • Resists corrosion, bending, and warping
  • Can lift the foundation back to the original position
  • Warrantied solution

Helical Piers vs. Push Piers: Which Do You Need?

Both systems stabilize a settling foundation, but the right choice depends on soil and structure conditions. Helical piers “screw” into the ground and can be a strong option when soil conditions allow consistent torque-based installation. Push piers are typically driven to deeper load-bearing strata and may be preferred when you need to reach bedrock or very stable layers. We’ll recommend the best fit after your inspection and explain why so you’re not paying for a system you don’t need.

The Installation Process

Our foundation experts at Vesta Foundation Solutions follow this four-step process to install helical piers:

1. Prep Foundation Footing

If your piers are being installed on the exterior of your home, our team starts by excavating the dirt around your foundation to create space where each pier will be drilled. If they’re installed on the interior, we will remove sections of your slab floor to access the footing and replace the slab when the installation is complete. We then remove a section of the footing and connect the pier to the steel brackets for enough wall support.

2. Install Helical Piers

Our team drills the helical piers deep down into the ground until load-bearing soils are reached to support the weight of your home. Your home is then transferred onto the piers for permanent stability. The piers are made of galvanized steel, so they will provide the ultimate support without bending or corroding.

3. Install Foundation Brackets

Once the piers are installed, we attach steel brackets to each pier footing to support the structure.

4. Potentially Lift the Foundation Back into Place

Now that the piers are installed, your foundation will no longer settle and will be held in place. Depending on your foundation’s situation, we may be able to even lift it back into its original position. We will determine if that is possible during this step.
