Concrete Lifting in Oklahoma City Zoo
Challenge
The Oklahoma City Zoo was experiencing sinking and unlevel concrete throughout the park. This is detrimental to not only the staff there, but also visitors. Unlevel concrete causes trip hazards, which can result in injuries. In the past they would have to pay extensive amounts of their annual budget trying to match the stained and textured concrete when having to jackhammer and replace. They contacted Vesta Foundation Solutions to come identify the main issues and help to get the Oklahoma City Zoo into tip top shape again.
Solution
Design specialist, Tim Swiger decided the fix for this problem was our PolyLevel foam lifting system. Production Manager, Adam Blake proceeded with the job. They found the cost to be less than 30% to lift using PolyLevel foam. The repairs were complete in 6 hours after closing and the space was usable within 20 minutes after the repair.
